Get off-the-beaten track and relax at Villa Picaflores, a gorgeous three-bedroom home with two-full baths, a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with an attached laundry room (full-sized washer and dryer). The open-concept living area features a lovely living/dining room area adjacent to the kitchen — perfect for entertaining. Just off the dining area is a large terrace overlooking the jungle that is outfitted with a smile-inducing, two-person hammock and a barbecue grill. Outdoors, mosquitoes are not a concern since most of them have been gobbled up by the "sing-you-to-sleep" coqui frogs!
Indoors, the tropically-themed master bedroom suite and one other bedroom have individual AC, although there is rarely the need: temperatures daily hover around 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius), and slide to a cool 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18.5 degrees Celsius) at night. All rooms have ceiling fans. For those of you that need to "stay in touch," the Villa's entertainment room has Direct TV. If you decide to bring your laptop you can connect wirelessly to the Internet in the Rainforest Bohio, an open-air cabana great for relaxing. This is also where Casa Picaflore's complimentary breakfast is served.
Villa Picaflores can sleep six persons comfortably and rents for $295 per night with a minimum stay of two nights. Each additional person is $25 per night.
